Prizeout checkout
How we landed 100k employee enterprise client with 1 flow
Synopsis.
Tapcheck aimed to onboard a major enterprise client, with 1 key requirement: enable employees to purchase Prizeout gift cards using their earned wages.
I led product design zero to one for the design team. I partnered closely with our head of product, PMs, engineering team and stakeholders to deliver designs within a week, then iterated with engineering team to production.
Insights to solve for.
Checkout experience that enables purchases with wages
Tapcheck needs a checkout experience that allows users to purchase gift cards in Prizeout with their wages.Informed transaction payment experience
Our users want to feel confident in their transaction. Clearly documenting the payment experience is important to all parties.Users prefer familiar experiences
Familiar checkout experiences like DoorDash, UberEats, Amazon are common with our users.Apple Pay and Google Pay bring comfort
User’s were familiar with Apple Pay and Google Pay native checkout experiences.
*Stakeholder preferenceModular experience is engineering constraint
When completing the transaction, we need to intuitively shift into the Tapcheck platform to complete the transaction. Planning for a modular experience sets us up for the future.
How can we craft an intuitive but modular checkout flow?
Coordinating with our product and engineering teams led to mapping out a clean feasible journey that we can deliver within our timeline.
