Context

Tapcheck is an earned wage access platform. Parent companies with multiple entities needed to export deduction reports across all their subsidiaries—a backend tool used by enterprise-level clients.

I led end-to-end product design for a bulk export tool. 1-week design sprint followed by 2 eng sprints, collaborating with Head of Production, 1 PM, 1 FE, 2 BE, QA, and account managers.

Problem

Enterprise clients were forced to export deductions one entity at a time—tedious, error-prone, and a growing churn risk. Account managers heard repeated complaints.

• Manual one-at-a-time entity exports wasted hours per pay period

• Forgetting a single entity meant restarting the entire process

• No bulk capability limited Tapcheck’s enterprise positioning

Approach

Designed a bulk export flow with entity multi-select, one-click select-all, and a pre-selected current pay period to minimize clicks. Ran competitive analysis of tools like ADP and validated with enterprise customers directly.

Leveraged Tapcheck’s new design system for speed, clarity, and scalability. Resolved output formatting edge cases collaboratively during QA.

Impact

• 90% reduction in time spent on exports

• Export time dropped to <10 seconds per parent company

• Noticeable decrease in account manager complaints

• New enterprise sales differentiator

The collaboration across product, engineering, and account management was seamless—simple UI backed by nuanced backend coordination.
